Fraudulent IRS Email
Some of our customers have indicated receiving the following email regarding a failed tax payment from the IRS. The email contains an attached word document that the fraudsters would like to be opened to install malware and other malicious code. Any customer's receiving the following email should be careful NOT to open any attachments.
The IRS has addressed fraudulent email like this on the IRS website.
The email will look like this...
From: "Internal Revenue Service" (noreply@irs.gov)
