Dale Hans and Maria Wedel - Fond du Lac and Appleton Press Release

Horicon Bank Announces New Positions

Horicon Bank announces new Branch Managers for their Fond du Lac and Appleton offices. Vice President, Dale Hans has transferred from Horicon Bank’s Appleton office to manage the new Fond du Lac branch at 854 East Johnson Street, bringing with him more than twenty years of banking experience. Maria Wedel has been promoted to replace Hans in Appleton at 100 East Midway Avenue.

Dale Hans is a Neenah High School and UW-Oshkosh graduate and started his banking career in Fond du Lac. “It’s great to be back here twenty years later,” said Hans. Hans remarked on the changes since he first worked in Fond du Lac saying, “The growth on the East Side of town has been amazing.”

Hans has worked for Horicon Bank since 1998 and Maria Wedel since 1999. Wedel is a Beaver Dam High School and UW-Oshkosh graduate with a B.A. in Business Administration. She successfully completed the Wisconsin Banker’s Association’s Consumer Credit School and Residential Mortgage Schools. “Our customers are in very capable hands with Maria,” said Hans. “She is great on both the deposit and lending side.” Concerning his transition Hans commented, “I was lucky to work with a great staff in Appleton. I look forward to the same in Fond du Lac.”

Horicon Bank’s Fond du Lac office has received statewide media coverage for its use of geothermal “green” energy and running its own coffee house, the “Blue Goose” – serving Alterra coffee.
