Press Release

New Mayville and Ripon Offices Press Release

Horicon Bank Plans to Acquire Two Bank Locations

For Release on September 24, 2008

In a joint press release, Horicon Bank and Hometown Bank announced Horicon Bank's plan to acquire two branch bank locations in Mayville and Ripon from Hometown. Both bank branches are located in grocery stores having total deposits of approximately six million dollars. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and is anticipated to close later this year. The terms and conditions of the transaction were not disclosed.

Hometown Bank CEO Jim Voight stated, "As our bank has doubled in size over the last few years, our focus has been on a core business strategy of lending to small and medium size businesses. Although we are committed to the communities in which we are located, we believe that these branches are a better fit for Horicon Bank, and allow us to reallocate capital to our main strategy."

Horicon Bank President Frederick F. Schwertfeger stated that, "We are pleased to expand our community banking business with the purchase. The customers at these locations will continue to experience the same service as previously provided by Hometown."

Horicon Bank is a $500 million bank headquartered in Horicon, Wisconsin. Hometown Bank is owned by $200 million Hometown Bancorp, Ltd. located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
