Horicon Bank Named A "Game Changer"

Horicon Bank was recently named a “Game Changer” in the world of financial technology at a national conference in San Diego, California.

The conference, hosted by D+H Financial Technologies, highlighted the work of four financial institutions through videos produced by the financial technology company. The videos featured personal interviews with bank employees as well as colorful footage of the local community.

After the Game Changer contestant videos premiered on Tuesday, the public was given a chance to vote on their favorite video until voting closed on Thursday morning. The winning financial institution would not only receive recognition as a “Game Changer,” but also $10,000 to give to a local charity of their choosing.

After just a day and a half, the voting provided a “clear winner” according to D+H Vice President of U.S. Marketing, Lindsay Sanchez. Horicon Bank was the recipient of the very first D+H Game Changer award.

“We were thrilled to be nominated for the “Game Changer” award,” said President Fred F. Schwertfeger. “When D+H first asked us to participate, we thought it would be a great way to tell the Horicon Bank story – the story of integrating technology and banking to create first-rate services for our customers. But it turned into so much more.”

Horicon Bank plans to split the $10,000 donation between to two local charities – the Friends of the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center and the Dodge County Humane Society.
