We’re just a week away from the launch of Ascend – our new digital banking experience that combines personal and business into one, easy to use digital platform. What do you need to know before we launch?
New features are coming your way.
Not only will you be able to access your accounts, make transfers and mobile deposits, but you’ll also be gaining new tools to help you better take control of your finances:
- See all your accounts in one place (not just Horicon Bank accounts!)
- Keep track of your credit score and learn how to improve it
- Order checks
- Chat with a live Horicon Banker
- And more!
Your username will stay the same.
You will use your current username to login to Ascend. The first time you login, you will be asked to reset your password and verify your identity using a two-step authentication process (sending a passcode to you via text, phone call or email).
Bill Pay is changing, but payees will transfer to Ascend.
Bill Pay will look a little different with Ascend. If you are a current Bill Pay user, your payees and scheduled payments will transfer to Ascend. We recommend upon first login that you review your payees and payments to verify all information transferred correctly.
Note: Your Bill Pay history WILL NOT transfer to the Bill Payment System within Ascend. You will be able to see payments made in the account you use for bill payments, but you will not be able to see payments made prior to Ascend in the new Bill Pay system. If you need a record of you Bill Pay history, we recommend logging into the current system and downloading a copy of your history to a PDF before 7/27/23.
The current app will not update automatically and your bookmarked tab will need to be updated.
After we launch Ascend, you will need to delete the current app and install the new app from the play stores. We will send an email with links to download the app once it is available. Links to download will also be found at www.horiconbank.com. If you have the current Internet Banking site saved in your "Favorites" you will need to update that with the new link to Ascend.
Debit Card controls will be added to Ascend after launch.
With the next release of Ascend, you will be able to turn your debit card off and on and set specific controls for the way your card can be used. Until the release of this functionality, we recommend downloading the Shazam Brella app for similar control ability. Very soon, you will be able to enjoy this functionality right inside of Ascend!
