Horicon Bank and the Milwaukee Parks Foundation have partnered up to improve Greenfield Park.
The partnership began when Horicon Bank opened their newest location in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
“Our tagline is ‘The Natural Choice’,” explained Fred C. Schwertfeger, Chief Strategy Officer at Horicon Bank. “As we came into this new community, partnering with the Parks Foundation was a natural fit.”
Horicon Bank sponsored the cost to purchase and plant four Swamp White Oak trees in Greenfield Park. The trees will be commemorated with a special event on July 13 at 11am in Greenfield Park – hosted by Horicon Bank and the Parks Foundation.
“The parks are a special part of our community,” said Schwertfeger. “Some of the best moments of our community members’ and employees’ lives happened right here in our parks. We want to support and preserve that for many years to come.”
"Milwaukee County Parks is excited about Horicon Bank's support in Greenfield Park," said Guy Smith, Executive Director of Milwaukee County Parks. "As businesses grow in Milwaukee County, we look forward to investments in our parks and local resources."
Horicon Bank recently broke ground on site of their soon to be Wauwatosa location in The Mayfair Collection.
“Our future is tied to the future of our communities,” said Schwertfeger. “We want to see these communities thrive, and we’re excited to share that vision with the Milwaukee Parks Foundation.”
Horicon Bank is a full-service community bank with twenty locations in fifteen communities and $1.2 billion in assets.
